Only a bit. Un Lun Dun was cute but didn’t impress on me the creepy sort of “all this madness is going on just a street away” feeling that I expect books of that genre should have. I quite enjoined the few short stories I’ve read by him. One that I remember in particular was about a group of people watching/riding/occasionally getting eaten by feral streets. Also he has a pretty cool name. So, that helps.
