Toaster Labs | An Internet commonplace book

Hello world. (Again.)

Hello. (Again.)

“Welcome to WordPress. This is your first post. Edit or delete it, then start blogging!”

I’ve moved Toaster Labs off of Wordpress.com to NearlyFreeSpeech.NET, a pay as you go hosting service. I think this will allow me more freedom to experiment with this blog, while still being reasonably inexpensive – as I don’t have either the traffic or the money to justify signing up with a more expensive host.

NearlyFreeSpeech.NET gives you a free $0.02 to get started with their service – which is enough to install a Wordpress blog and experiment a bit. If you’re interested in trying it out, I used step-by-step instructions on setting up Wordpress on NearlyFreeSpeech.NET found here, at a blog called Dan Today. There are also additional instructions you must follow to complete the installation here. So, if you’re not sure you can make it work (like I was), you can try it out for free!

I’m fooling around with WordPress and NearlyFreeSpeech.NET. We’ll see what happens…

Layout Gripes

Ok, so the fact I can’t change the font color without paying money is a little annoying but I guess one can’t complain when she is using free web hosting and someone else’s basic layout.
