GetGlue Sticker

Ah yes, I have been sucked into another one of these social-media, points for doing nothing scams. This one is differant though! Even though I’ll soon get tired of “checking-in” to whatever media I’m experiening, I’ll hopefully come away with some cute stickers for my laptop.

Echo Bazaar

Veil Garden

This one is really intriguing. Echo Bazaar has a similar format to many passive games: you get some limited number of actions per time period, then you click things and see what happens. However, Echo Bazaar is filled with unique content. Each action advances your own personal story in Fallen London and gradually unlocks mysteries. I’ve been playing for about a month now and I still find myself curious about the world of the game.

Echo Bazaar is still in beta and a bit slow and buggy. To sign up you must use a Twitter account and any people you want to friend in-game you must friend on Twitter. The other major downside is this game has no forums, which is a real pity as it would be really interesting to talk to other players about the things they are unlocking.

Nevertheless, if you like New Weird settings and bottomless mysteries, you have to play this game. Just make sure your nightmares don’t get too high.

Adorable Wardriving Game for the DS

There's somthing out there!

Oh yes. You read that right! Treasure World turns wardriving into a cute treasure hunt. As you drive around, the game searches for hotspots and with each unique connection it finds you unlock a prize.

Though very simple, I’m finding it addicting! I wish there were more games that combined real world activity with in game events. Since 1000 or more unique hotspots need to be found it will probably require more then passively leaving it on during travel…maybe I’ll take a different route home tomorrow.

The game is also linked to an online community, so friend me here (requires you be logged in) or with friend code 0474-5832-9132.
